This auto-pedestrian route leads you over idyllic country paths from Bettel to Fouhren and back again.
After a few hundred meters along the Our, the Bettel hiking trail leaves towards the southeast. Now it goes uphill to Marxberg. Along the way you will find a viewing pavilion. From there, on clear days, you can enjoy a beautiful view over several dozen kilometers.
After a well-deserved break, the path continues uphill to the "white cross", a wayside cross. Here turn right and head to Fouhren. The path winds through the village up to the Bëttelerbësch.
Once you reach the forest, you can breathe a sigh of relief: now it's all downhill. Shortly before arriving back in Bettel, you can admire the rebuilt old station building. In earlier times, the so-called "Benni", the narrow-gauge railway between Diekirch and Vianden, which ceased operation in 1948, ran there. Today the route is partially used as a cycle path.
