L3 Mullerthal Light

The first 15 km of this route run from Echternach along the Sauer river to Reisdorf. Then follows a gently ascending section of 17 km length through the valley of the White Ernz to Larochette. In Larochette, after just over half of the route, several dining options on the market square offer the opportunity to take a break. From Larochette, the route continues another 5 km gently ascending up to just before Christnach. Then it goes downhill into the cool valley of the Black Ernz, past the well-known Schiessentümpel waterfall. At kilometer 45, the last ascent of the route must be overcome, passing unique rock formations. From Berdorf, you can either enjoy the last 5 km as a fast descent (caution in the curves) or relish the freshness of the forest and the view of the rocks.

The route runs mostly on public roads. Please adhere to the traffic regulations.

A photo stop at the romantic Schiessentümpel waterfall is a must on this route.
